But it's not every day that Minnesotans are greeted by a cold-blooded reptilian guest. Frankie's Friends provides low-cost spay and neuter services, medical facilities and rescue. It takes in about 500 sick or injured cats each year, rehabilitates them and finds them homes. Those with needs making them unadoptable are able to live out their lives at the rescue. The nonprofit was the winner of the "Great Roof Giveaway" contest sponsored by Schultheis Bros. In Plum.
