Minecraft Player Replaces Ender Dragon With Very Cute Bearded Dragon - Screen Rant

Minecraft's menacing and intimidating final boss, the Ender Dragon, has been replaced with a cute little bearded dragon by an imaginative player. This idea is somewhat similar to what another Minecraft creator has done previously by replacing the game's axolotl with an equally adorable platypus.

A skillful player decided to give the game's currently cutest mobs a complete rework by replacing Minecraft axolotls with platypuses. The task, however, was not as easy as it sounds since the two creatures are quite different in how they look. The creator had to redesign the axolotl's basic model and texture to correctly display the platypus' famous beak and beaver-style tail. To everyone's enjoyment, the final result was worth all the effort. A similar outcome has been achieved by another Minecraft fan who took a completely different approach in picking a mob for a redesign.

In a similar feat, Minecraft's final boss, the Ender Dragon, has been redesigned into a cute little bearded dragon by Redditor meaniezombeanie. Despite the low detail, the blocky animal looks quite recognizable thanks to rows of tiny spikes located on its chin and body sides. The bearded dragon appears to be quite small, which makes it hard to believe that the creature possesses the whole range of Ender Dragon's powers. Unfortunately, meaniezombeanie hasn't clarified what the redesigned dragon might be capable of, and it's even unknown if the cute reptile can fly. However, judging by the overwhelmingly positive reception the adorable lizard has received from the Reddit community, the creature's abilities in combat aren't its most vital feature.

While turning a hostile Minecraft mob into an adorable lizard is a nice practice to adopt, other players tend to replace in-game enemies with even darker, more terrifying versions. Exactly that was done by a fan who decided to turn Minecraft ghasts into nightmarish creatures. Using a custom-made resource pack, the player reworked the monsters' texture for them to appear as unsettling floating maws.

Thanks to its minimalistic but adorable design, the bearded dragon looks very fitting for Minecraft's style. It could very well compete in cuteness with the equally adorable axolotl, let alone join the vanilla game's team of blocky creatures. Not only has meaniezombeanie shown that following the popular sandbox's design rules is not rocket science for talented artists, but the player has also demonstrated that there's plenty of room for adding new creatures to Minecraft.
