Zoo Welcomes 4 Capybara Babies And They're Just The Cutest

There's nothing cuter than baby animals, especially brand new babies! The San Diego Zoo in San Diego, California welcomed four new baby capybaras to the herd, and they're just adorable!

The video is pretty short, and the zoo starts by asking if you're "...Ready for some capy news?" It goes on to say that Bowie and Rosalina became the proud parents to four pups last month. That means mom and dad are pretty busy right now! The video is so cute; mom and dad are so attentive, and the pups are so curious!

When born, the pups weigh only two to four pounds. Full grown, capybara are the largest rodent in the world, and weigh in at about 170 pounds. At the end of the video, the @San Diego Zoo says to follow along to watch them grow and I plan to do just that. There hasn't been an update, but I'm hoping they'll share one again soon before they're all grown up.

The video got nearly 5 million views and more than 4 thousand comments. People loved watching the capybara pups play! @Billydabobthorton asked, "So they are born as the same size of a full-grown Guinea pig?" to which the zoo replied, "Basically". @kathleen points out, "I love how capybara babies just look like tiny versions of their parents!" @Dr. Frank Kadel made me laugh with, "Needs a "HI capy-Barbie" soundtrack." @Alana Ermey is all of us when she adds, "OH MY GOD I've never seen cappy babies AND I CAN'T STAND HOW CUTE THEY ARE!"

Having a capybara as a pet is legal in some states, but owning an exotic pet isn't always easy. It can be hard to find a vet that can care for them, maintain the proper diet that they need, and of course you have to keep in mind that they're wild animals and should be treated as such.

Party Animals: The Cutest Brawler Of The Year Is Almost Here And So Are The Closed Beta Weekends

Throw, wrestle, punch, and fling your friends with seamless cross-play between platforms.

Party Animals is almost here, and developer Recreate Games is inviting players to play the highly-anticipated, ridiculously cute co-op brawler ahead of release.

You can get in on the cuddle puddle mosh pit through three closed beta weekends leading up to release. The betas are to test the servers before the big day, and if you are interested, you can sign up for a chance to receive an invite through Steam or the Xbox Insider Hub app.

Party Animals - Get into an adorable brawl with your friends.

Spots are limited, and players who sign up will be randomly chosen. Pre-ordering does not guarantee a beta invite.

The closed betas will take place on the following dates and times:

  • September 1 at 8am ET/1pm UK to September 3 at 8am ET/1pm UK
  • September 8 at 8am ET/1pm UK to September 10 at 8am ET/1pm UK
  • September 15 at 8am ET/1pm UK to September 19 at 11:59pm ET/4:59am UK (Sept. 20)
  • Currently the fourth most wishlisted game on Steam, Party Animals provides a range of adorable animals, from puppies and kittens to bunnies and duckies, in one of the cutest cooperative brawlers we've ever seen. It features physics-driven character movements that lead to unpredictable encounters as you wrestle, punch, throw, and grapple through various task-oriented or competitive games in online or offline modes.

The game features three modes, 20 maps, free-for-all skirmishes, and objective-based gameplay. You can choose your character from a diverse cast of adorable critters and customize their appearance.

Throughout, you can collect over 200 cosmetic items. Animals and outfits can be unlocked by acquiring in-game currencies through gameplay or purchasing them. Cosmetics are purely aesthetic and do not provide any gameplay advantages - aside from making you cuter than your opponents.

Plus, thanks to cross-platform play between PC and Xbox, you can invite all sorts of folk to partake in the nonsensical shenanigans.

Never, in a million years, did I think I'd say this, but there's nothing cuter than a Corgi packing a frying pan around, just waiting to bash you over the head with it.

Party Animals will run you $19.99 or your regional equivalent for the standard edition or $29.99 for the Deluxe edition, which includes exclusive outfits and characters and a bunch of in-game currency. Pre-ordering either version will dole out additional in-game perks: the Royal Nemo Outfit, Royal Nemo Avatar, and 240 Nemo Bucks.

Now available for pre-order, Party Animals will release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on September 20.

Guy's Attempt To Keep His Animals Off Freshly Poured Concrete Backfires Miserably

There's nothing better than getting to make improvements to your home, but it can be a real mess! The owner of Fluffy Feather Farm had fresh concrete poured for a new driveway last week and was excited to get it done...That is, until all the animals showed up to check it out.

Maverick and Goose are his two geese, and of course they immediately wanted to see what was going on. Then the cats showed up to see what was up. He was playing 'goose guard' and trying to make sure the animals all stayed off the new - and perfect - concrete. The cats started chasing the geese and it was chaos! He tried so hard to keep the animals away from it, but to no avail. Goose decided to walk across the concrete, leaving his cute little prints behind!

The owner of @Fluffy Feather Farm sure has his hands full! Goose didn't seem to have a care in the world or be at all concerned about his dad chasing him away! But I'll be honest and say I would've left them. They'd look cute! And it is a farm...It would be fitting to have the prints there!

Commenters were not happy that he got rid of the prints...Not at all! As @kellikat7 said, "But animal footprints are so cute and on-brand for a farm!!!"

This story has a happy ending! The next day, the guys came back to pour the other half of the driveway. To make up for getting rid of the prints, he did the unexpected...He let all of the animals walk on the wet concrete! The dog, both of the geese, a cat, chicken, and a mini-donkey as well as all the guys left their prints. I couldn't love this more!
