A partially deaf pug has melted hearts online after her owner shared a cute video of her on TikTok.

The adorable pug, Loulou, was filmed responding to the sound of a cheese wrapper despite her hearing impairment. In the short video, Loulou is seen leaving her cosy bed using her ramp, then trotting over to her owner at the prospect of a tasty cheese treat.

The video posted on the TikTok page dubbed 'Loulou the Pug', has the caption: "She's partially deaf and doesn't respond when I call her name, but somehow she always hears the cheese wrapper." It captured Loulou snuggled up under a pink blanket before dashing off to nab a Babybel cheese and has racked up an impressive 787,000 views and 126,000 likes, as well as nearly 700 comments, been shared 20,000 times and favourited by 6,780 users.

Fans of Loulou have been quick to comment, with one person admiring: "What a cutie. She's even mastered the skill of making sure she takes the blanket with her, so once she's done with the cheese she can just plop back down and nap anywhere."

Another stated: "She's so talented at keeping her blanket on" and a third praised her elegance: "She's so majestic, she looks like a queen with her pink cape."

Dog owners have been taking to the comment section of the video to share how their hearing-impaired pooches still seem attuned to the sound of snacks. One pitbull owner penned: "My pittie was born deaf but he can hear a cheese wrapper three states away."

Echoing the sentiment, another user commented: "My senior dog is just like that. She'll ignore me 9/10 times that I call her name but she'll suddenly be hearing just fine when I'm opening the cheese drawer in the fridge."

It doesn't stop there, with someone else adding: "Always amazes me how my dog (14) can't hear his name from three feet away yet can be asleep upstairs, hear the fridge door open and be at my side in a nano second." People's interest wasn't limited to the dogs' selective hearing, as they were also curious about where Loulou's ramp came from.

Those looking for similar pet accessibility aids can find dog bed ramps at shops such as B&Q and The Range, designed for small or less mobile dogs. Loulou is a ten-year-old Dutch pug who has a younger sister named Mosy who is also featured on the TikTok page.

Dogs Trust UK has offers tips to owners with disabled pets, like being careful not to startle deaf dogs and positioning oneself within their field of vision to ease interaction.

The national dog charity warns that getting a deaf dog's attention when they're not facing you "can be a challenge". They also note that deaf dogs "might worry about where you are if you leave the room without them seeing", suggesting it could be useful to "move past them on your way out so they can watch where you go".

Funny Pug Is 'Totally Mesmerized' Seeing Her Likeness In 'Men In Black' Movie

There are a million reasons why we fall in love with a movie and declare it our favorite. It could be the storyline, the soundtrack, or even the actor that draws you to it, and it turns out there are dogs who feel the same way, too.

An adorable Pug named Macie was watching TV with her family when an actor caught her eye, and she was "totally mesmerized." It looks like we're watching the moment she realizes she now has a movie, and it's very fitting. Take a look!

On January 5, 2024, TikTok user Kels (@kels_402) shared a video of her adorable Pug, who looks like she fell in love with the actor on the screen.

That's when we see her on the TV watching Frank the Pug, a fictional character in the Men in Black movie. Frank is played by a real Pug named Mushu, and sweet Macie can't take her eyes off him.

It's so funny when the camera pans to Macie lying in her dog bed on the couch. Her eyes are locked in for sure, and she doesn't want to miss a second of whatever adventures Frank has found himself in.

People think Macie's mesmerized eyes were adorable, too. One person asked, "Did Macie just find her movie star crush? Next thing you know she'll be buying Pugbop magazine and hanging posters of Frank The Pug all over her dog house." Another shared, "She looks like she's concerned he's letting the humans know they can speak."

Another TikTok user wrote, "My previous Pug didn't even notice the TV, but my current one is always locked in. It's so funny." One joked, "He said stop talking the whole world's going to find out."

Pugs are one of the most recognizable dog breeds because their small stature and adorably large eyes make them hard to mistake. They're also beloved for their temperament.

PetPlan notes Pugs are "highly adaptable, full of character, and thrive in different environments. They are playful, with lots of energy, making them a popular dog for families with or without children.

Pugs love to be around people, and they're even happier if they're the center of all the attention of those they love the most.

Hill's Pet Nutrition describes this breed as "fairly laid-back" and doesn't usually engage in chewing, digging, or "extensive barking." They're also known to be "more serious with a dry sense of humor."

We love seeing Macie's animated face as she's zoned into her number-one movie star!
