Rare Two-Headed Snake Hatched In The U.K. Is A Sight To Behold
How do you feel about snakes? I'm definitely not a fan, but I couldn't help but check out this video that @USA TODAY shared on Monday, August 21st of a two-headed snake that hatched at a pet store in the U.K. Recently.
The snake is a non-venomous western hognose, and having one hatch with two heads is extremely rare. It results from a mutation during reproduction. It's definitely something to see!

I'll admit that I had to watch the video a couple of times to figure out what I was seeing, and now I have so many questions! How rare is extremely rare? Will it be able to live? How does it eat? How many other snakes like this are out there? Can it even slither on its own? Unfortunately, I have all of these questions about this weird hognose snake and no answers. Hoping the algorithm will bring me back to a story with an update soon!
Most commenters simply said, "Wow" or the like, but there were a couple worth mentioning. @Swfinds shared, "It's a very calm animal and will only attack if you hurt it." Another commenter wondered, "How's it gonna even be able to swallow? Doesn't seem like it would work out".
If you're considering a snake as a pet, the hognose is a good one to start with. They're small, docile, and easy to feed. They don't eat rodents, but they love to eat frogs and other amphibians. Even children can handle this pet, with supervision of course.
